Power Steering Gear Overview






1 Right Tie Rod End

Marked with an "R". Refer to => [ Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side. ] Tie Rod.

Check dust caps for damage and correct seating.

Conical pin must be free of grease and oil.

If necessary, clean using dry rag, do not use cleaning agents.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod Ball Joint ] Tie Rod Ball Joint.

2 Nut

70 Nm

3 Spring Clamp

4 Boot

Check for damage.

Must not be twisted when toe is being adjusted.

5 Clamp

Always replace if removed.

6 Tie Rod

100 Nm

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Tie Rod ] Tie Rod.

7 Seal

Replace when removing the boot. Refer to => [ Boot ] Boot.

For the correct allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

8 Power Steering Gear

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Power Steering Gear ] Power Steering Gear.

9 Left Tie Rod End

Marked with an "L". Refer to => [ Make sure the correct tie rod end is installed on each side. ] Tie Rod.

Check dust caps for damage and correct seating.

Conical pin must be free of grease and oil.
