Front Passenger Seat Occupant Sensor G128

If the front passenger seat occupant sensor is replaced, the front seat cushion must also always be replaced. Refer to => [ Front Seat Cover and Cushion ] Front Seat Cover and Cushion!

Removal

- Remove seat. Refer to => [ Front Seat ] Front Seat.

- Remove the belt latch. Refer to => [ Front Belt Latches ] Front Belt Latches.

- Remove the trim on the tunnel side. Refer to => [ Tunnel Side Trim ] Tunnel Side Trim.

- Remove the trim on the door sill side. Refer to => [ Door Sill Side Trim ] Door Sill Side Trim.

- Remove the drawer. Refer to => [ Drawer ] Drawer.

- Remove the trim bracket on the door sill side. Refer to => [ Door Sill Side Trim Bracket ] Door Sill Side Trim Bracket.

- Remove the seat cover and cushion. Refer to => [ Front Seat Cover and Cushion ] Front Seat Cover and Cushion.

The front passenger seat occupant sensor - 1 - is bonded with the seat cushion. Separate removal and installation are not possible. The sensor must be replaced with the seat cushion.






Installation

- Press the front passenger seat occupant sensor - 1 - into the corresponding recesses of the cushion and align.

Ensure that the distance from the sensor to the positioning aids is constant.

- Secure the aligned sensor with the right hand, remove the films - arrows - and bond the sensor - 1 - to the cushion.






Installing of remaining components is reverse of removal.

- After installation, perform a function check with the ignition on.
