Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Hydraulic Pump (V475)






Transmission Fluid Auxiliary Hydraulic Pump (V475)

Do not run the engine or tow the vehicle when the auxiliary hydraulic pump is removed or when there is no transmission fluid in the transmission.

The auxiliary hydraulic pump can also be removed while the transmission is installed.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Used Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)

Drip Tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation for the transmission.

- Place the used oil collecting and extracting device (V.A.G 1782) underneath.

- Remove the plug - A - from the transmission.

- Unscrew the overflow tube - C -.






- Drain the transmission fluid.

Approximately 3.5 to 4 liters of fluid will drain out.

- Reinstall the overflow tube - C - and tighten it to 2 Nm.

- Install and tighten the plug - A -, with a new seal - B - by hand.

Before removing, cover the area around the auxiliary hydraulic pump with several cloths.

- Disconnect the connector - A - and remove the auxiliary hydraulic pump bolts - 1 -.






Tightening specification: 32 Nm

- Remove the transmission fluid auxiliary hydraulic pump.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:

- Clean thoroughly any areas on the transmission that get wet with transmission fluid.

- Install the transmission fluid auxiliary hydraulic pump with a new gasket.

- After installation, fill and check the transmission fluid level, add as necessary. Refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Level, Checking and Filling ] ATF Level, Checking and Filling.
