High Pressure Pump Overview






1 Accessory Bracket

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Accessory Bracket ] Service and Repair.

2 Bolt

20 Nm + an additional 180° (1/2) turn.

Always replace.

3 Hub

Use the camshaft gear counter-holder (T10051) to loosen and tighten.

Use the puller (T40064) to remove.

4 High Pressure Pump Toothed Belt Gear

5 Bolt

20 Nm

Always replace.

6 Nut

95 Nm

7 Bolt

20 Nm + an additional 45° (1/8) turn.

Always replace.

8 High Pressure Pump

With the fuel metering valve (N290) not opened.

After replacing, the fuel tank must be filled (never run dry), refer to => [ Fuel System, Filling and Bleeding ] Fuel System, Filling and Bleeding.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ High Pressure Pump ] High Pressure Pump.

9 Fuel Supply Hose

10 Fuel Return Hose

11 High Pressure Line

28 Nm

Between the high pressure pump and the fuel rail (high pressure reservoir).

Do not interchange.

When reusing the high pressure line again, pay attention to the cylinder marks.

The high pressure line can be reused only after the following checks:

Check the sealing cone on the high pressure line for deformation and cracks.

The bores for the line must not be deformed, narrowed or damaged.

Do not reuse a corroded line again.

Install without tension.
