Roof Insulation/Reinforcements, Wagon

Removing

- Remove headliner. Refer to => [ Molded Headliner, Wagon ] Molded Headliner, Wagon.

- Cut the roof insulation/reinforcements - 1 - into strips approximately 6 cm wide - 2 - with a carpet knife, moving in the direction of travel.

- Remove the strips - 2 - from the roof.

- Cut back the adhesive residue - 3 - with an Electric Cutter (V.A.G 1561 A) and Cutting Blade (V.A.G 1561/20) - 4 -.

• If paint structure was damaged while removing roof insulation/reinforcements, paint damage must be repaired.






Installing

• Processing instructions of adhesive must be observed when installing roof insulation/reinforcements.

- Using a Cartridge Gun (V.A.G 1628) , apply the 1K Assembly Adhesive (D 190 MKD A3) - 2 - to the roof insulation/reinforcements - 1 -.

- Dimension a = 61 mm

- Dimension b = 25 mm

- Dimension c = 34.5 mm

- Dimension d = 19 mm

- Dimension e = 1.5 mm

- Transport roof insulation/reinforcements into vehicle through rear lid and press on to roof over the entire surface.
