Shift Unit Overview

• Lubricate the bearing areas and sliding surfaces with grease (G 000 450 02).






1 Nut

• Removing and installing - item 17 - => [ (Item 17) Self-Locking Nut ] Shift and Selector Cables Overview

2 Transmission Shift Lever

• Can be replaced with the shift mechanism still installed

• Installed position, refer to => [ Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed
Position ] Shift and Selector Cables Overview

• Installing, refer to => [ Installing the Transmission Shift Lever ] Shift and Selector Cables Overview

• Adjust selector mechanism after installation, refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments

3 Sliding Shoe

• Clip into actuator lever

4 Bushing

• Not needed for the plastic relay lever

5 Relay Lever

• Installed position, refer to => [ Selector Lever/Relay Lever Installed

• Adjust selector mechanism after installation, refer to => [ Shift Mechanism, Adjusting ] Adjustments

• Plastic relay lever as of 03.07, refer to => [ Plastic Relay Lever ] Plastic Relay Lever

6 Gearshift Unit

• Consisting of the shift shaft and the shift cover

• The components cannot be separated from each other

• Can be removed and installed with the transmission installed

7 Bearing bushing

• For the gearshift shaft

• Removing and installing - item 16 - => [ (Item 16) Bushing ] Transmission Housing, Servicing

8 O-ring

• Insert in the groove in the shift cover

• Install with transmission fluid

• Always replace

9 Cap

• For the transmission ventilation

10 Circlip

• For the relay lever

• Not needed for the plastic relay lever

11 Selector Shaft Seal

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Shift Shaft Seal ] Shift Shaft Seal
