C-Pillar Trim

• The following describes removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle. Removing and installing on the right side is identical.

Removing

- Switch off ignition.

4-door vehicles through 06.05

- Remove the seat bench. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove 4-door side upholstery:

• With rear side airbag, refer to => [ Side Upholstery with Side Airbag, 4-door ] Side Upholstery with Side Airbag, 4-door

• Without rear side airbag, refer to => [ Side Upholstery, 4-door ] Side Upholstery, 4-door

- Wheel housing trim, 4-door, removing. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Trim, 4-door ] Wheel Housing Trim, 4-door

4-door vehicles with rear side airbag, from 06.05

- Remove 4-door side upholstery:

• With rear side airbag, refer to => [ Side Upholstery with Side Airbag, 4-door ] Side Upholstery with Side Airbag, 4-door

- Wheel housing trim, 4-door, removing. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Trim, 4-door ] Wheel Housing Trim, 4-door

4-door vehicles without rear side airbag, from 06.05

- Remove wheel housing trim on 4-door vehicles without rear side airbag. Refer to => [ Trim, Wheel Housing, 4-door, Without Side Airbag, from 06.05 ] Trim, Wheel Housing, 4-door, Without Side Airbag, from 06.05

2-door vehicles

- Remove the B-pillar upper trim. It is not necessary to remove the belt end fitting and the guide bracket from the front seat belt. Refer to => [ Upper B-Pillar Trim ] Upper B-Pillar Trim.

- Remove the seat bench. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Bench Seat.

- Remove the backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest ] Backrest

- Remove side trim. Refer to => [ Side Trim, 2-door ] Side Trim, 2-door

All vehicles

- Remove the storage compartment from the side luggage compartment cover. Refer to => [ Storage Compartment, Luggage Compartment Cover ] Storage Compartment, Luggage Compartment Cover.

- Remove roof end strip => [ Roof End Strip ] Roof End Strip

- Remove airbag emblem - 1 - and the screw - 2 - (4 Nm).

• When re-installing, airbag emblem - 1 - must be replaced.

- Remove nut - 3 - (1.5 Nm).

- Loosen trim from threaded pins in nut - 3 - - arrow A -.

- Remove trim from mounts - arrow B - and door seal piping.

- Remove trim upward out of mounts in body - arrow C -.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

• Check the clips for damage and replace if necessary.
