Removing

- Remove footwell trim. Refer to => [ Footwell Trim ] Footwell Trim

- Remove front ashtray or front compartment. Refer to => [ Front Ashtray or Front Storage Compartment, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006, and Passat CC from MY 2009 ] Front Ashtray or Front Storage Compartment, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006, and Passat CC from MY 2009

- Remove Infotainment trim. Refer to => [ Infotainment Trim, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006, and Passat CC from MY 2009 ] Infotainment Trim, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006, and Passat CC from MY 2009

- Remove the cover, "Climatronic/Climatic". Refer to => [ Climatronic and Climatic Cover, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006 and Passat CC from MY 2009 ] Climatronic and Climatic Cover, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006 and Passat CC from MY 2009.

Vehicles without "Climatronic/Climatic"

- Remove heater and ventilation controls.

"Climatic" A/C System with Manual Control

Remove the heater and A/C controls, Climatic.

"Climatronic" A/C System with Automatic Control

- Remove the front A/C display control head (E87) with the Climatronic control module (J255).

- Remove the Standard center console, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006 and Passat CC 2009, refer to => [ Standard Center Console, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006, and Passat CC from MY 2009 ] Standard Center Console, Passat from MY 2006, Passat Wagon from MY 2006, and Passat CC from MY 2009.

- Remove six screws - 1 - (1.5 Nm).

- Lower storage compartment - 2 - slightly in front area.

- Slide storage compartment forward and remove it downward from center console - arrow -.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
