Installing the Locating Pins (T10096)
To secure the subframe, the locating pins (T10096) must be installed in positions - 1, 2, 3 and 4 - one after the other.
• The locating pins (T10096) may only be tightened to a maximum of 20 Nm, otherwise the threads of the locating pins will be damaged.
Lower Control Arm Bracket, Securing
- Replace the bolts for the lower control arm brackets one after the other on both sides using locating pins (T10096) and tighten them to 20 Nm.
Subframe, Securing
- Replace the front bolts of the subframe one after the other using locating pins (T10096) and tighten the pins to 20 Nm.
The position of the front subframe is now secured.
Continue with removing the stabilizer bar, refer to => [ Remove the stabilizer bar clamp bolts from the subframe. ] Stabilizer Bar.
Continue with removing the steering gear, refer to => [ under the subframe. ] Steering Gear.
Continue removing the subframe without the steering gear, refer to => [ steering gear bolts from the subframe. ] Subframe, without the Steering Gear.
Continue removing the subframe with the steering gear, refer to => [ Place the under the subframe. ] Subframe, with the Steering Gear.
Removing the Locating Pins (T10096)
Removal is performed in the reverse order of installation. Make sure that the locating pins (T10096) are replaced one after the other with new bolts.
