O-rings, Seals and Gaskets

• No matter with a kind of seals they are, they must replace the O-rings, seals and gaskets.

• After removing shaft seals, check the sealing surfaces on the housing or shaft for burrs resulting from removal or damage.

• Before installing a shaft seal, coat the sealing lips and the space between - arrow - with sealing grease for seal (G 052 128 A1) and the outer circumference with DSG oil.






• The open side of the shaft seal faces the oil.

• Use DSG oil only. Other lubricants cause malfunctions.

• After installing, check the transmission oil level and fill, if necessary. Refer to => [ Transmission Oil Level, Checking and Filling ] Transmission Oil Level, Checking and Filling.
