Transmission Oil Filter
• The transmission oil filter usually does not need to be replaced.
• Change the transmission oil filter "yes or no". Refer to => [ When To Change Transmission Oil Filter ] When To Change Transmission Oil Filter.
Removing
- Move the selector lever into the "P" position.
- Remove the complete air filter housing.
- Remove the battery and battery tray.
• A little bit of oil remains inside the filter. This will drain out once the filter is removed.
• Lay some cloths down near the filter before removing it.
- Loosen the filter housing - arrow - approximately 7 turns.
- Wait 10 seconds.
This way the oil can flow from the filter housing back into the transmission.
- Remove the filter housing and filter.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Pay attention to the following:
- Clean thoroughly any areas on the transmission that get stained with transmission oil.
- Install the transmission oil filter with the collar on the bottom - arrow -.
- Install the transmission oil filter housing and tighten it to 20 Nm.
Further installation is performed in the reverse sequence.
