Left Engine Compartment E-Box






Left Engine Compartment E-Box

Always follow the instructions regarding disconnecting and connecting the battery. Refer to => [ Battery (A), Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery (A), Disconnecting and Connecting.

Removing

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Disconnecting ] Disconnecting.

- Press the catches in - direction of arrow - and remove the cover from the E-box - 2 -.






- Disconnect the wires - 2 -.






- Remove the wires from the connecting pins.

- Press the tabs - arrows - on the relay and fuse panel - 1 -.






- Remove the relay and fuse panel - 1 - from the E-box.

- Remove the engine control module - 2 - and bracket - 1 - off the E-box. To do this, first remove the shear bolts - arrows -.






Engine Control Module, removing and installing.

- Remove the bolt - 2 - on the E-Box - 3 -.






- Remove the nuts - 1 -.

- Remove the E-box - 3 - from the vehicle.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification.

Bolt E-box: 6 Nm

Nuts E-Box: 6 Nm

Wire Nuts: 6 Nm

Then check whether the cover - 2 - of the E-box is correctly engaged.

- Connect the battery. Refer to => [ Connecting ] Connecting.
