Evaporative Emission System Overview





1 Leak Detection Pump (LDP) (V144)

Installed location: under the wheel housing liner in the right rear wheel housing.

Checking, refer to the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Leak Detection Pump ] Service and Repair.

2 Connecting Line

From the LDP to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister.

Clipped in on the bracket.

3 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister

Installed location: in the bottom of the spare wheel well.

A filter - item 1 -=> [ Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Filter ] Evaporative Emission System Assembly Overview is also installed with engine codes BGQ and CBUA.

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Evaporative Emission Canister ] Evaporative Emission Canister.

4 Separating Point

At the right rear on the fuel tank.

5 Throttle Valve Control Module (J338)

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Throttle Valve Control Module ] Service and Repair.

6 Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Regulator Valve 1 (N80)

Checking, refer to the vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.

7 Vacuum Line

Connected to the intake manifold.

8 Separating Point

At the right, front in the engine compartment under the coolant expansion tank.

9 Vent Line

White

From the EVAP canister to EVAP canister purge regulator valve (N80).

Installed position: on the right side of the underbody.

Secured to the fuel tank.

10 Vacuum Line

Green

From the engine to LDP.

Installed position: on the right side of the underbody.

Secured to the fuel tank.

11 Separating Point

At the right, front on the fuel tank in the area of fuel filter.

12 Fuel Filler Tube

13 Vent Line

From the filler connection to EVAP canister.

14 Air Filter Housing

For the LDP.
