1 NOx Reduction Catalytic Converter

--> [ (item 17) NOx Reduction Catalytic Converter ] Particulate Filter with NOx Absorption Catalytic Converter Assembly Overview

2 Seal

Replace

Installing --> [ Installing Gasket Between the and NOx Reservoir or Reduction
Catalytic Converter ]

3 Securing Clamp, 7 Nm

Replace

Note installation position --> [ Installation Position of the Clamp Between the and NOx Reservoir
or Reduction Catalytic Converter. ]

4 Exhaust Flap Control Module (J883)

Note installation position

Connector heat shield and wire routing, refer to --> [ Exhaust System Component Line Routing ] Exhaust System Component Line Routing.

5 Reduction Catalytic Converter

Refer to --> [ Exhaust System, Checking for Leaks ] Testing and Inspection.

6 Front Muffler

7 Clamping Sleeve

Note installation position --> [ Clamping Sleeve Location ]

Align exhaust system free of stress. Refer to --> [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Exhaust System, Installing

Tighten bolts evenly

8 23 Nm

Installing Gasket Between the Exhaust Flap Control Module (J883) and NOx Reservoir or Reduction Catalytic Converter





- Insert gasket - 2 - with angled tab - B - in the notch - A - on the NOx reservoir or reduction catalytic converter - 1 -.

- Insert exhaust flap manifold - 3 - with the retaining tab - C - in the notch - A -.

Installation Position of the Clamp Between the Exhaust Flap Control Module (J883) and NOx Reservoir or Reduction Catalytic Converter.





- Install new clamp so the clamping bolt is opposite the exhaust flap control module housing and the - 45° ± 10° - angle is maintained.

Clamping Sleeve Location





- When installing clamping sleeve, ensure that the bolt end - arrow - does not project beyond the lower edge of clamping sleeve:

Threaded connection points toward the right.

Tighten threaded connections equally to 23 Nm.
