Pillar and Side Trim

C-pillar Trim

• Removing and installing on the left side of the vehicle is described here. Removing and installing on the right side is identical.

Removal

- Switch off ignition.

4-door vehicles through 06.2005

- Remove seat bench. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Rear Seats.

- Remove 4-door side upholstery:

• with rear side airbags: => [ Side Upholstery with Side Airbag, 4-door ] Rear Seats

• without rear side airbags: => [ Side Upholstery, 4-door ] Rear Seats

- Wheel housing trim, 4-door, removing. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Trim, 4-door ] Service and Repair

4-door vehicles with rear side airbag, from 06.2005

- Remove 4-door side upholstery:

• with rear side airbags: => [ Side Upholstery with Side Airbag, 4-door ] Rear Seats

- Wheel housing trim, 4-door, removing. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Trim, 4-door ] Service and Repair

4-door vehicles without rear side airbag, from 06.2005

- Remove wheel housing trim on 4-door vehicles without rear side airbag. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Trim, 4-door, Vehicles Without Rear Side Airbag from June 2005 ] Service and Repair

2-door vehicles

- Remove upper B-pillar trim. Belt anchor or belt anchor rail do not need to be removed from front seat belt. Refer to => [ Upper B-pillar Trim ] Upper B-Pillar Trim

- Remove seat bench. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] Rear Seats.

- Remove backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest ] Rear Seats

- Remove side trim. Refer to => [ Side Trim, 2-door ] Side Trim, 2-Door

All vehicles

- Remove luggage compartment cover side compartment. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Cover Side Storage Compartment ] Interior Trim.

- Remove roof end strip. Refer to => [ Roof End Strip ] Service and Repair

- Remove airbag emblem - 1 - and remove screw - 2 - (4 Nm).

• When re-installing, airbag emblem - 1 - must be replaced.

- Remove nut - 3 - (1.5 Nm).

- Loosen trim from threaded pins in nut - 3 - - arrow A -.

- Remove trim from mounts - arrow B - and door seal piping.

- Remove trim upward out of mounts in body - arrow C -.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

• Before installing, inspect the securing clips for damage and replace if necessary.
