Sealing Flange Overview






1 Bolt

• 90 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

2 Crankshaft Toothed Belt Gear

3 Bolt

• 15 Nm

4 Seal

• Do not lubricate the lip on the seal with oil or grease.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Crankshaft Seal, Belt Pulley Side ] Service and Repair.

5 Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side

• Must be seated on the alignment pins.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side ] Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side.

• To remove and install, remove the oil pan.

6 Cylinder Block

• Oil pump with differential shaft gear removing and installing. Refer to => [ Oil Pump with Balance Shaft Drive ] Service and Repair.

• Crankshaft overview, refer to => [ Crankshaft Overview ] Crankshaft Overview.

• Piston and connecting rod overview, refer to => [ Pistons and Connecting Rod Overview ] Service and Repair.

7 Bolt

• 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

• Always replace.

8 Flywheel/Drive Plate

• Flywheel removing and installing. Refer to => [ Flywheel ] Service and Repair.

• Drive plate removing and installing. Refer to => [ Drive Plate ] Service and Repair.

9 Intermediate Plate

• Must be seated on the alignment sleeves.

• Be careful not to damage or bend it when installing.

10 Sealing Flange, Flywheel Side

• With the seal.

• Always replace as a complete unit.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Sealing Flange, Flywheel Side ] Sealing Flange, Flywheel Side.

11 Diamond Disc

• Always replace.
