EB62 MANUAL TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the shift lever assembly with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the control cable to the shift lever retainer.

NOTICE:
* The projecting part of the shift cable should face upward when connected.
* After installation, make sure that the shift cable lock is projecting from A as shown in the illustration.

(b) Connect the end of the shift cable to the shift lever assembly with the clip.

(c) Connect the end of the select cable to the shift lever assembly with a new clip.

NOTICE:
* The serrated part of the select cable should face upward when connected.
* The clip should be installed in the direction as shown in the illustration.

3. ADJUST TRANSMISSION CONTROL SELECT CABLE

Adjustments.

4. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 1 console box mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

(b) Connect the 2 clips.

5. INSTALL NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT FRONT Installation

6. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT FRONT Installation

7. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CARPET Installation

9. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX POCKET Installation

10. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

11. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE REAR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

12. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL Installation

13. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Installation

14. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH Installation

15. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly to install it.

16. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL NO. 2 UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

18. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH Installation

20. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LH Installation

21. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

22. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Installation
