Installation

PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the parking brake cable clamp to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.





(b) Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 3 bolts (A), the bolt (B) and the nut (C), and engage each claw.

Bolt (A) - Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf

Bolt (B) and Nut (C) - Torque : 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf





(c) Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the backing plate with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)





(d) Using a brass bar and a hammer, install the clip to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

3. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET Reassembly

4. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Reassembly

5. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE STRUT Reassembly

6. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN TENSION NO. 1 SPRING Reassembly

7. CHECK PARKING BRAKE INSTALLATION Reassembly

8. INSTALL REAR DISC Reassembly

9. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE Reassembly

10. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY Reassembly

11. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

12. INSTALL NO. 2 FRONT FLOOR HEAT LOWER INSULATOR (for 2AR-FE)

(a) Install the No. 2 front floor heat lower insulator with the 3 nuts.

Torque : 4.9 Nm (50 kgf-cm, 43 in-lbf)





13. INSTALL NO. 2 FLOOR UNDER COVER (w/ Cover) Installation

14. INSTALL NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER (w/ Cover) Installation

15. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Single Type) Installation

16. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Dual Type)

17. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY (for Dual Type)

18. INSTALL NO. 4 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

(a) Install the No. 4 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.





(b) Slide the rubber boot back as shown in the illustration.





19. CONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

(a) Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.





20. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle)

(a) Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.





21. INSTALL CROSS MEMBER FLOOR NO. 4 REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) Installation

22. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) Installation

23. INSTALL LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) Installation

24. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle) Reassembly

25. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

26. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) Reassembly

34. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL (for Manual Transaxle) Adjustments

35. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL (for Automatic Transaxle) Adjustments

36. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (for Manual Seat)

37. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK
