DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the navigation receiver assembly judges as a result of its self check that the signals or signal lines between the navigation receiver assembly and the rear television camera assembly are not normal.

1. CONFIRM MODEL

(a) Chose the model to be inspected.

B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SWITCH)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA)

(a) Disconnect the F12 connector from the navigation receiver assembly and the S18 connector from the rear television camera assembly.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA)
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Reconnect the S18 connector to the rear television camera assembly.

(b) Reconnect the F12 connector to the navigation receiver assembly.





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:

4. INSPECT REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

(a) for 8 Speakers

(1) Check that the F9 and F12 connectors are connected to the navigation receiver assembly.





(2) Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.





HINT
A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly with the connector connected.

OK:

Waveform is as shown in the illustration.





HINT
The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the rear television camera assembly.

(b) for 6 Speakers

(1) Check that the F40 and F12 connectors are connected to the navigation receiver assembly.





(2) Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.





HINT
A waterproof connector is used for the rear television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly with the connector connected.

OK:

Waveform is as shown in the illustration.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER SWITCH)

(a) Disconnect the F12 connector from the navigation receiver assembly and the S18 connector from the luggage compartment door opener outer switch.





(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Reconnect the S18 connector to the luggage compartment door opener outer switch.

(b) Reconnect the F12 connector to the navigation receiver assembly.





(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





(d) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

7. INSPECT REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

(a) for 8 Speakers

(1) Check that the F9 and F12 connectors are connected to the navigation receiver assembly.





(2) Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

(1) Check that the F40 and F12 connectors are connected to the navigation receiver assembly.





(2) Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

8. REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR OPENER OUTER SWITCH

(a) Replace the luggage compartment door opener outer switch with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

9. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (C1622)

(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
