ENGINE IMMOBILISER: CERTIFICATION ECU (w/ Smart Key System): REMOVAL
NOTICE:
When removing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components from being damaged.
1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal (to 12/2010).
2. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH
HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Removal (to 12/2010).
3. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal (to 12/2010)
4. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL RH Removal (to 12/2010)
5. REMOVE CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY)
(a) Disconnect each connector.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws to remove the ECU aggregation cover.
(c) Remove the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) as shown in the illustration.
NOTICE:
Be careful when removing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly). If the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) is dropped, replace it with a new one.
