Reassembly (to 12/2010)

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): REASSEMBLY

1. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Connect each clamp and connector to install the front seat wire.

2. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Seat) Installation (to 12/2010)

3. INSTALL SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Seat) Installation (to 12/2010)

4. INSTALL SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (for Driver Seat)

5. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Engage the clamp.





(b) Engage the claw to install the seat heater control sub-assembly.

(c) Connect the connector.

6. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Using a T20 "TORX" socket, install the seat cushion climate control blower with the "TORX" screw.





(b) Connect the connector.

7. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Engage the 6 claws to install the seat cushion climate control duct.





8. INSTALL LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the lumbar support adjuster assembly with the 2 screws.





(b) Connect the connector.

(c) Install the front seatback spring and the 4 springs.





9. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Using a T20 "TORX" socket, install the seatback climate control blower and the seatback climate control cover with the 6 "TORX" screws.





(b) Engage the 2 clamps.





(c) Connect the connector.

10. INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT

(a) Install the active headrest lower unit with the 2 nuts.





Torque : 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf)

11. INSTALL ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT

(a) Install the active headrest upper unit with the 4 nuts.





Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the nut to connect the cable clamp.

12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Engage the guide.





(b) Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.

13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Engage the guide.





(b) Engage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Install the front seat lower cushion shield RH with the screw.





15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.





16. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover RH with the screw.





17. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Install the reclining adjuster inside cover LH with the screw.





18. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH

(a) Install the front seatback shield RH with the 2 screws.





(b) Engage the clamp.

19. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH

(a) Install the front seatback shield LH with the 2 screws.





20. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Temporarily install the front seatback heater assembly to the separate type front seatback cover.

(b) Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly with 17 new tack pins.









HINT
* Install the tack pins under the wire (Section X-X).
* Align the seat heater and the end of the listing pocket (Section X-X).
* Tack pins should not be beyond the seam (Section Y-Y).

NOTICE:
Do not substitute other metal parts for tack pins.

21. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with 11 new hog rings.





NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

22. INSTALL FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation (to 12/2010)

23. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Temporarily install the separate type front seatback cover with pad.





(b) Install the separate type front seatback cover bracket with the 2 nuts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

CAUTION:
* The seatback cover must be securely installed. Otherwise, the side airbags may not deploy properly.
* Make sure that the strap is not twisted after installing the bracket.
* Install the bracket securely.
(c) Engage the hooks.





(d) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover with pad with 2 new hog rings.

NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

24. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT RH

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat headrest support RH.





25. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT LH

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the front seat headrest support LH.





26. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the hooks to install the front seatback board cover sub-assembly.





27. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.





(b) Install the front seatback board sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

28. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Temporarily install the front seat cushion heater assembly to the separate type front seat cushion cover.

(b) Install the front seat cushion heater assembly with 34 new tack pins.









HINT
* Install the tack pins under the wire. (Section Y)
* Align the seat heater and the end of the listing pocket. (Section Y)
* Tack pins should not be beyond the seam. (Section X, Section Z)

NOTICE:
Do not substitute other metal parts for tack pins.

29. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover with 11 new hog rings.





NOTICE:
* Be careful not to damage the cover.
* When installing the hog rings, take care to minimize wrinkles as much as possible.

30. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Engage the hooks to temporarily install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.





(b) Install the 2 clips to install the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

(c) w/o Seat Heater System:

(1) Engage the 2 clamps.





(d) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Engage the 3 clamps.





(2) Connect the connector.

31. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Install the front power seat switch with the 3 screws.





(b) Connect the connector.

32. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Install the front power seat switch with the 3 screws.





(b) Connect the 2 connectors.

33. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

(a) Insert the guide to temporarily install the front seat cushion inner shield.





(b) Engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.





(c) Install the front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

34. INSTALL SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Connect the connector to install the seat variable cushion switch to the seat wire.





(b) Install the seat variable cushion switch and the seat wire to the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 2 screws.





(c) Engage the 2 clamps.

35. INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH (for Driver Seat)

(a) Install the front power seat lumbar switch with the 2 screws.





36. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Engage the 3 claws.





(b) Install the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

37. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Engage the 3 claws.





(b) Install the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield with the screw.

38. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 claws.





(b) for Drivers Seat:

(1) Connect the front seat lumbar switch connector.

(c) Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 5 screws.

(d) Engage the 2 hooks to install the seat cushion under cover.





39. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Install the reclining power seat switch knob.





40. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
