Disassembly (to 12/2010)

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal (to 12/2010)

2. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.





3. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, remove the reclining power seat switch knob.





4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks and disconnect the seat cushion under cover.





(b) Remove the 5 screws.





(c) for Driver Seat:

(1) Disconnect the front power seat lumbar switch connector.

(d) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat cushion shield assembly.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield.

6. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 front seat cushion inner shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH (for Driver Seat)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and the front power seat lumbar switch.





8. REMOVE SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps.





(b) Remove the 2 screws and the seat variable cushion switch with the seat wire.

(c) Disconnect the connector and remove the power seat switch assembly.





9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws.

(c) Separate the guide and remove the front seat cushion inner shield as shown in the illustration.





10. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/o Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 3 screws and the front power seat switch.

11. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.





(b) Remove the 3 screws and the front power seat switch.

12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) w/o Seat Heater System:





(1) Disengage the 2 clamps.

(b) w/ Seat Heater System:





(1) Disconnect the connector.

(2) Disengage the 3 clamps.

(c) Remove the 2 clips.





(d) Disengage the hooks and remove the separate type front seat cushion cover with pad.

13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 11 hog rings and the separate type front seat cushion cover.





14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Detach the 34 tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater assembly.





15. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 screws.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seatback board sub-assembly.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the hooks and remove the separate type front seatback board cover sub-assembly.





17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support LH.





18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT RH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support RH.





19. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

(a) Remove the 2 hog rings.





(b) Disengage the hooks.

(c) Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the separate type front seatback cover bracket.





(d) Remove the separate type front seatback cover with pad.

20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal (to 12/2010)

21. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 11 hog rings and the separate type front seatback cover.





22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Detach the 17 tack pins and remove the front seatback heater assembly.





23. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws and the front seatback shield LH.





24. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SHIELD RH

(a) Disengage the clamp.





(b) Remove the 2 screws and the front seatback shield RH.

25. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw and the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.





26. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

(a) Remove the screw and the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.





27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Remove the screw and the front seat lower cushion shield LH.





28. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (w/o Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Remove the screw and the front seat lower cushion shield RH.





29. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Disengage the guide and remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH (w/ Seat Cushion Front Edge Adjustment Function)

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the hook as shown in the illustration.

(c) Disengage the guide and remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

31. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST UPPER UNIT

(a) Remove the nut and disconnect the cable clamp.





(b) Remove the 4 nuts and the active headrest upper unit.

32. REMOVE ACTIVE HEADREST LOWER UNIT

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and the active headrest lower unit.





33. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Disengage the 2 clamps.

(c) Using a T20 "TORX" socket, remove the 6 "TORX" screws and the seatback climate control cover and the seatback climate control blower.





34. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 springs and the front seatback spring assembly.





(b) Disconnect the connector.





(c) Remove the 2 screws and the lumbar support adjuster assembly.

35. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disengage the 6 claws and remove the seat cushion climate control duct.





36. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Using a T20 "TORX" socket, remove the "TORX" screw and the seat cushion climate control blower.

37. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Disengage the claw.

(c) Disengage clamp and remove the seat heater control sub-assembly.

38. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR (for Driver Seat) Removal (to 12/2010)

39. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR (for Driver Seat) Removal (to 12/2010)

40. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Seat) Removal (to 12/2010)

41. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Disconnect each clamp and connector and remove the front seat wire.
