Trunk / Liftgate: Adjustments





ENGINE HOOD / DOOR: LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR: ADJUSTMENT

HINT
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSPECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the clearance measurements of areas *1 through *4 are within each standard range.

2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR COVER Disassembly

3. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal

4. ADJUST LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Adjust the door horizontally and vertically by loosening the hinge bolts of the door.





(b) Tighten the hinge bolts of the door after the adjustment.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(c) Adjust the striker.





(1) Using a hammer and a brass bar, tap the striker to adjust it.

HINT
Adjust the door lock position by moving the striker so that the door striker can enter smoothly.

(2) Tighten the 2 bolts after the adjustment.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
