BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: FRONT SPEED SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR

(a) Install the front speed sensor with the bolt A.

Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
* Do not file the sensor installation hole or surface because the gap between the magnet rotor and front speed sensor is important.

(b) Install the No. 1 sensor clamp and flexible hose with the bolt B.

Torque : 29 Nm (300 kgf-cm, 22 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
* Do not twist the front speed sensor wire harness during installation.
* Tighten the brake flexible hose and front speed sensor together with the bolt. Make sure that the flexible hose is positioned over the front speed sensor.

(c) Install the No. 2 sensor clamp to the shock absorber with the bolt C.

Torque : 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)

(d) Connect the speed sensor connector.

(e) Install the No. 3 sensor clamp to the body with the nut.

Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

2. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS (for RH Side)

(a) Engage the clamp to the No. 3 sensor clamp.

3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL FENDER REAR PLATE MUDGUARD Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD Installation

6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

7. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
