Installation

BRAKE: BRAKE BOOSTER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL BRAKE VACUUM CHECK VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install a new grommet onto the brake booster assembly.

(b) Install the vacuum check valve onto the brake booster assembly.

2. INSTALL BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Provisionally install the push rod clevis onto the brake booster assembly.

HINT
Tighten the push rod lock nut when adjusting the brake pedal height.

(b) Install a new gasket onto the brake booster assembly.

(c) Install the brake booster assembly with the 4 nuts.

Torque : 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake tubes.

(d) Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum check valve with the clip.

(e) Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, install the brake tubes onto the brake tube way while holding the brake tube way with a wrench.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

(f) Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, install the 2 brake tubes onto the flexible hose while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

Torque : 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where a union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

6. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE (for Manual Transaxle) Installation

7. INSTALL BATTERY CARRIER Installation

8. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY

9. INSTALL BATTERY Installation

10. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL Installation

11. INSTALL FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH Installation

12. INSTALL FRONT WIPER MOTOR AND LINK Installation

13. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH Installation

14. INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

15. INSTALL HOOD TO COWL TOP SEAL Installation

16. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH Installation

18. INSTALL FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP Installation

19. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

20. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER Service and Repair

21. BLEED BRAKE LINE Service and Repair

22. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR Service and Repair

23. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Service and Repair

24. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK

25. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL Adjustments

26. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER TRAY Installation

27. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
