Installation





FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
* A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Secure the front axle assembly between aluminum plates in a vise.

NOTICE:
When using a vise, do not overtighten it.

(b) Install the front lower ball joint to the front axle assembly with the nut.





Torque : 133 Nm (1356 kgf-cm, 98 ft-lbf)

(c) Install a new cotter pin.

NOTICE:
If the holes for the cotter pin are not aligned, align the holes by tightening the nut as necessary up to an additional 60°.

2. INSTALL FRONT AXLE ASSEMBLY LH Installation

3. CONNECT FRONT NO. 1 LOWER SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

4. CONNECT TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

5. INSTALL FRONT DISC Installation

6. CONNECT FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH Installation

7. CONNECT FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE Installation

8. CONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH Installation

9. INSTALL FRONT AXLE SHAFT NUT LH Installation

10. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

11. INSPECT AND ADJUST FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT

12. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

13. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY
