SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER Removal

3. REMOVE CENTER HOOD CUSHION Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER Removal

5. REMOVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH

(a) Remove the front airbag sensor.





(1) Push the connector lock lever (white colored) to release the connector lock and disconnect the sensor connector (yellow colored) from the front airbag sensor.

NOTICE:
* Do not push the connector housing part (A) when disconnecting the sensor connector.
* When handling the sensor connector, take care not to damage the sensor wire harness.

(2) Check that the terminal housing is in the unlock position.

(3) Remove the bolt.

(4) Detach the guide and remove the front airbag sensor.
