Installation





PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install a new parking brake cable support clamp sub-assembly to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.





2. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Insert the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly into the body.





(b) Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 5 bolts.

Torque : 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)

(c) Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.

HINT
Be sure to engage the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly clip onto the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

(d) Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly LH.





(e) Install the parking brake lever protector.

3. CONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE SUPPORT CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Attach the clamp to connect the parking brake cable support clamp sub-assembly.





4. INSTALL FRONT UPPER NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Install the front upper No. 2 floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

5. INSTALL FRONT UPPER NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Install the front upper No. 1 floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

Torque : 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

6. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

7. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY

Installation

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

10. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
