INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTALLATION

HINT
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Attach the 4 claws to install the lower instrument panel.

(b) Attach the 4 clamps and connect the cable.

(c) Install the 2 bolts [B].

(d) Install the 7 bolts [A] and 4 screws [C].

(a) Attach the 2 claws to install the glove compartment side panel.

5. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL FUSE BOX OPENING COVER

(a) Attach the 8 claws to install the fuse box opening cover.

7. INSTALL NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE

(a) w/ Smart Key System:

(1) Connect the connector.

(2) Attach the 5 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.

(b) w/o Smart Key System:

(1) Attach the 5 claws to install the No. 1 switch hole base.

8. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIO BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 2 radio bracket with the 2 bolts.

HINT
If the vehicle is equipped with a radio receiver, connect each connector and then install the No. 2 radio bracket and radio receiver as a single unit with the 4 bolts.

9. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIO BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 1 radio bracket with the 2 bolts.

If the vehicle is equipped with a radio receiver, connect each connector and then install the No. 1 radio bracket and radio receiver as a single unit with the 4 bolts.

(a) Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

(a) Install the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

21. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

Diagnosis System
