43 - ABS Control System Malfunction
DESCRIPTION
This DTC is output when the VSC system detects a malfunction in the anti-lock brake system.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform calibration Programming and Relearning.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM
(a) Check if an ABS DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
B -- REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC Vehicle Stability Control System
A -- Continue to next step.
2. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
(c) Start the engine.
(d) Drive the vehicle at a speed of approximately 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 60 seconds or more.
(e) Check if the same DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
