SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: SEAT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION: Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.
HINT: Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
The procedure described below is for the LH side. Use the same procedure for both the LH and RH sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY Removal
3. REMOVE SEAT TRACK COVER Removal
4. REMOVE SEAT TRACK INNER BRACKET COVER Removal
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY Removal
6. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE Disassembly
7. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER (w/ Vertical Adjuster) Disassembly
8. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER KNOB (w/ Vertical Adjuster) Disassembly
9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD Disassembly
10. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR





(a) Remove the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position airbag sensor.
11. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR





(a) Disconnect the connector from the seat position airbag sensor.
(b) Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the torx screw and the seat position airbag sensor.
