SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY: DISASSEMBLY

DISASSEMBLY
CAUTION: Wear protective gloves. Sharp surfaces on the front seat back frame could cause injuries to your hands.
HINT: The procedure described below is for the driver side. Use the same procedure for both the front passenger and driver sides, unless otherwise specified.

1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle.
2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER (for Driver Side)

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and remove the vertical adjuster cover.
3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER KNOB (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the 2 screws and remove the reclining adjuster knob
4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the 3 screws.
(b) Disengage the 2 claws, and remove the front seat cushion shield.
5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal
6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the claw and clip, and remove the front seat cushion shield.
7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION WITH COVER PAD

(a) Remove the 2 bands shown in the illustration.

(b) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.

(c) Disengage the 2 claws, 7 hooks and remove the front seat cushion cover pad.
8. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR Removal
9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the 2 hog rings shown in the illustration

(c) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.
10. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST HOLE COVER (for Driver Side)

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat armrest hole cover.
11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the bolt and 2 washers and remove the front seat armrest assembly.
12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BACK WITH COVER PAD

(a) Remove the front seat back cover pad.
13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the airbag connector and the 4 wiring harness clamps.

(b) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 wiring harness clamps.

(a) Remove the screw.
(b) Disengage the claw and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover.
15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH
HINT: Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

16. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw and the reclining adjuster outside cover.
17. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER RH
HINT: Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

(a) Disengage the claw and remove the front seat cushion lower shield.
19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH
HINT: Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

20. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR Removal
21. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR Removal
22. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side) Removal
23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 3 clamps and the front seat wire.
