Installation








SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Occupant Classification ECU, Occupant Classification Sensor): INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
NOTICE:
- Install new parts from prepared service kits.
- Never use SRS parts from another vehicle. When replacing the parts, replace them with new ones.
- Never reuse an occupant classification sensor involved in a collision when the airbag has deployed.
- If the occupant classification sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.
- When installing the occupant classification sensor, make sure that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.
- After installing, shake the occupant classification sensor to check that there is no looseness.
- Install the front seat cushion cover pad and front seat cushion cover together, in order to avoid occupant classification sensor malfunctions.

1. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR





(a) Install the occupant classification sensor with the 2 clips.





(b) Engage the claw to the seat cushion frame.
(c) Connect the connector to the occupant classification sensor.

4. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Installation
5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH Reassembly
6. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE Reassembly
7. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU





(a) Install the occupant classification ECU with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 3.0 Nm (31 kgf-cm, 27 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the connector to the occupant classification ECU.
8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH Installation
9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY Installation
10. INSTALL SEAT TRACK COVER Installation
11. INSTALL SEAT TRACK INNER BRACKET COVER Installation
12. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 78 in-lbf)
13. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK
Initialization
14. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
