PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install a new parking brake cable support clamp onto the parking brake cable.

(b) Insert the parking brake cable into the disc brake cylinder and engage the clip claws of the parking brake cable to the rear disc brake cylinder guide as shown in the illustration.

(d) Insert the parking brake cable into the body.
(e) Install the parking brake cable with the 5 bolts.
Torque: 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm, 53 in-lbf)

(f) Engage the cable clamp.
2. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER Installation

3. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Install the heat insulator with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)

4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
(a) Install the heat insulator with the 3 nuts.
Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf)
5. INSTALL CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Installation
6. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR CENTER BRACE Installation

7. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE END STOPPER
(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the parking brake cable end stopper onto the parking brake equalizer.

8. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 1 parking brake cable into the parking brake cable end stopper.

9. CONNECT NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
(a) Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable to the parking brake equalizer.
10. CONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
HINT: Use the same procedure as for the No. 3 parking brake cable.

11. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
12. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL Adjustments

13. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX MOUNTING BRACKET
(a) Install the console box mounting bracket with the 5 bolts.
Torque: 27 Nm (275 kgf-cm, 20 ft-lbf)
14. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Installation
15. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CARPET Installation
16. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation
17. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
18. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
