Carpet Replacement - Rear
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer toSIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 , SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 8 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in SIR.
2. Remove the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
3. Remove the center console, if equipped. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (Console Replacement - Front Floor) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
4. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
5. Remove the center pillar garnish moldings. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar (Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar) .
6. Remove the rear carpet retainer. Refer toCarpet Retainer Replacement (Carpet Retainer Replacement) .
7. Remove the rear carpet (2) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
1. Lay the rear carpet (2) into the vehicle.
2. Install the rear carpet retainer. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement (Carpet Retainer Replacement) .
3. Install the center pillar garnish moldings. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar (Garnish Molding Replacement - Center Pillar) .
4. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear (Seat Cushion Replacement - Rear) in Seats.
5. Install the center console, if equipped. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (Console Replacement - Front Floor) in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
6. Install the front seats. Refer to Seat Replacement - Bucket (Seat Replacement - Bucket) in Seats.
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer toSIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 , SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 8 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9 in SIR.
