Power Sunroof Module Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Position the sunroof in the fully closed position.
2. Remove the headliner.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the motor.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the express module.
5. Remove the front drain hoses from the sunroof housing.
6. Remove the rear drain hoses from the sunroof housing.
IMPORTANT: A helper will be required to support the sunroof module when removing the bolts.
7. Remove one sunroof module bolt at the actuator bracket.
8. Remove the sunroof module bracket bolts to the side rail.
9. Remove the six sunroof module bolts to the roof.
IMPORTANT: A helper will be required to assist in the removal of the sunroof module from the vehicle.
10. Remove the sunroof module from the vehicle through the door opening.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT: A helper will be required to assist in the installation of the sunroof module into the vehicle.
1. Install the sunroof module to the vehicle through the door opening.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
IMPORTANT: A helper will be required to support the sunroof module when installing the bolts.
2. Install the six sunroof module bolts to the roof.
Tighten
Tighten the six sunroof module bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. Install the sunroof module bracket bolts to the side rail.
Tighten
Tighten the sunroof module bracket bolt to 10 N.m +/- 2.0 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Install one sunroof module bolt at the motor bracket.
Tighten
Tighten the one sunroof module motor bracket bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
5. Install the rear drain hoses to the sunroof housing.
6. Install the front drain hoses to the sunroof housing.
7. Connect the electrical connectors to the motor.
8. Connect the electrical connectors to the express module.
9. Open and close the sunroof to recheck the operation.
10. Install the headliner.
11. Adjust the sunroof if necessary. Refer to Sunroof Panel Vertical Adjustment. Adjustments
