Removal and Installation for Low-Pressure Flexible Hose and Muffler Pipe

NOTE:
The QR-25DE models are equipped with a two piece low-pressure flexible hose and muffler pipe. The
MR-20DE models are a one piece low-pressure flexible hose and muffler assembly.

REMOVAL

1.Discharge the refrigerant. HFC-134A (R-134A) Service Procedure.
2.Remove the cowl extension panel (QR-25DE only). Service and Repair.
3.Reposition the lower dash insulator.
4.Remove the low-pressure flexible hose (with muffler on MR-20DE only) and muffler pipe as an assembly (QR-25DE only). Locations.

CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the hose with a suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of contaminants.
5.Separate the low-pressure flexible hose and muffler pipe as necessary (QR-25DE only). Locations.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
- Do not reuse O-rings.
- Apply A/C oil to the O-ring of the low-pressure flexible hose and muffler pipe for installation.
- After recharging the refrigerant, check for leaks. Checking Of Refrigerant Leaks.
