Removal and Installation
CAUTION:
- Disconnect the negative and positive battery terminals.
- Never tamper with or force air bag lid open, as this may adversely affect air bag performance.
- Be careful not to scratch pad and other parts.
INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY
Removal
1.Disconnect both the negative and positive battery terminals, then wait at least three minutes.
2.Remove the center console assembly. Service and Repair.
3.Remove instrument lower panel LH screw, position instrument lower panel LH to disconnect diagnostic
connector and hood release cable, and then remove instrument lower panel LH.
4.Remove steering wheel. Service and Repair.
5.Remove cluster lid C. Cluster Lid C.
6.Remove the glove box assembly. Service and Repair.
7.Remove instrument lower covers (LH/RH).
8.Remove the instrument lower cover (center) screws, disconnect power socket connector and then remove
the instrument lower cover (center). Component Parts.
9.Remove the instrument upper cover screws and then remove the instrument upper cover. Refer to
Component Parts.
10.Remove the combination meter. Combination Meter.

11.Remove the front pillar garnish.
12.Remove the headlamp control switch. Service and Repair.
13.Remove the wiper control switch. Service and Repair.
14.Remove the passenger air bag module bolt (A) from the steering member.
15.Remove the instrument panel lower RH screw (A).
16.Remove the instrument panel screw inside the combination meter opening.
17.Remove the instrument panel screw at the upper LH corner.
18.Remove the instrument panel lower LH screw.
19.Remove the front tweeters (LH and RH), if equipped. Without Navigation.
20.Remove the upper instrument panel bolts located near the front tweeters (RH and LH).
21.Disconnect the audio antenna.
22.Remove the instrument panel assembly.
Installation
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
