51 24 090 - Removing and installing/replacing left or right rear lid lock





Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Partially remove panel for rear lid .
- Partially remove retractor 51 24 070 Removing and Installing/Replacing Retractor.
- Partially remove mounting of emergency release device 51 24 095 Removing and Installing/Replacing Emergency Release Device for Rear Lid.

Note:
The operation is described on the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.





Release screws (2) on rear lid lock (1).

Installation:
Tightening torque 51 24 3AZ [1][2]Specifications.





Pull off clip (1) and Bowden cable guide (2) downwards from drive for rear lid lock (3).





Unclip Bowden cable (1) at retainers (2) and feed Bowden cable (3) out and remove.





Installation:
Perform function check with rear lid open.





Installation:
Clip (1) and Bowden cable guide (2) must not be damaged.
