PINPOINT TEST B: THE ROOF OPENING PANEL LEAKSNormal Operation
When the roof opening panel glass is completely closed, it should be flush with the vehicle roof. The roof opening panel glass seal (part of the roof opening panel glass) provides a weather-tight seal between the roof opening panel glass and the vehicle roof. The roof opening panel drain hoses route water from the roof opening panel trough through the body of the vehicle. The roof opening panel drain hoses then allow water to exit through openings in the vehicle body.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Roof opening panel alignment
- Roof opening panel frame drain hose(s)
- Roof opening panel glass seal (part of the roof opening panel glass)
