B - Brake Warning Indicator Always ON

BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR ALWAYS "ON"

B1- Brake Fluid Level
- Check brake master cylinder reservoir fluid level.
- Is fluid level good ?
YES - Go to B3.
NO - Go to B2.

B2- Brake System Leakage
- Check brake master cylinder reservoir sealing points. Testing and Inspection
- Check external brake system for leakage. Testing and Inspection
- Were system leaks found ?
YES - Service as necessary, add fluid and bleed system.
NO - Fill brake master cylinder and go to B3.

B3- Ignition Wiring Check
- Check that ignition wiring is not within a 50.8 mm (2 inch) radius of the fluid level indicator assembly reed switch.
- Is ignition wiring OK ?
YES - Go to B4.
NO - Rerout wiring as necessary.

B4- Float Assembly Check
- Check if float is stuck or magnet is dislodged from float.
- Is float functional ?
YES - Go to B5.
NO - Replace Brake master cylinder reservoir assembly. Brake Fluid Reservoir

B5- Check Fluid Level Switch
- Disconnect 3-pin plug on master cylinder fluid brake reservoir.
- Check resistance between outside two pins on reservoir.
- Is resistance 5 ohms or less ?
YES - Replace fluid level switch. Brake Master Cylinder
NO - Go to B6.

B6- Check Ground Circuit 977 (P/W)
- Check for resistance between circuit 57 (BK) and circuit 977 (P/W) on connector C170.
- Is resistance reading more than 10,000 ohms ?
YES - Go to B7.
NO - Service or replace circuit 977 (P/W).

B7- Check for Ground Concern
- Check for resistance between circuit 57 (BK) and circuit 128 (P/Y) on connector C164.
- Is resistance reading more than 10,000 ohms ?
YES - Reverify warning lamp operation.
NO - Service or replace circuit 128 (P/Y).
