REMOVAL1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove cable tension. Tension Release
3. Disconnect front parking brake cable and conduit from parking brake intermediate cable at cable connector.
4. Remove cable snap-in front parking brake cable retainer from parking brake cable adjuster using a 13 mm 12-point box-end wrench to press retaining prongs. Allow parking brake intermediate cable to hang.
5. Lower vehicle.
6. Remove cowl side trim panel.
7. Disconnect front parking brake cable and conduit from parking brake control at clevis.
8. Remove cable snap-in retainer from control assembly using a 13 mm 12-point box-end wrench to press retaining prongs.
9. Pull front parking brake cable and conduit and grommet up through front floor pan.
INSTALLATION
1. Start front parking brake cable and conduit through hole in front floor pan and secure grommet in place.
2. Push prong retainer into parking brake control until prongs are secure and connect front parking brake cable and conduit to control clevis.
3. Install cowl side trim panel.
4. Raise and support vehicle. Position front parking brake cable and conduit through front parking brake cable bracket and push prong into parking brake cable bracket.
5. Connect parking brake intermediate cable to front parking brake cable and conduit connector.
6. Adjust parking brake cable. Initial Adjustment
7. Lower vehicle and retest brake system.
