A19 Actuator (Electrical) Check
- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect actuator connector from harness connector.
- Connect DVOM to Circuits 155 (GY/R) and 156 (GY/O).
- Measure resistance.
Is resistance less than 43 or greater than 70 ohms?
Yes
REPLACE actuator. Service and Repair
Go to A4. A4 - A11
No
Go to A20.

A20 Continuity Check
- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect VAPS module connector.
- Disconnect actuator connector from actuator.
- Check continuity of Circuit 155 (GY/R) from module connector to actuator connector.
- Repeat for Circuits 156 (GY/O), 153 (P/Y) and 154 (P/LG).
Do all circuits check OK?
Yes
Go to A17. A15 - A18
No
SERVICE harness.
Go to A4. A4 - A11

A21 VAPS Harness Ground Circuit Check
- Turn ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect VAPS connector.
- Connect positive lead of DVOM to Pin 4, Circuit 57 (BK) and negative lead to ground.
- Measure resistance.

Note: All doors and hood (16612) must be closed for proper resistance readings.

- Is resistance greater than 15 ohms?
Yes
SERVICE harness.
Go to A1. A1 - A3
No
Go to A22. A22 - A23
