KT9 - Enter Output State Check Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Enter Output State test mode. Output State Diagnostic Test Mode

- Intake Manifold Runner Control System (IMRC) solenoid disconnected.

- Connect Digital Volt/Ohm Meter (DVOM) positive test lead to VPWR circuit and negative test lead to IMRC circuit at the IMRC solenoid vehicle harness connector.

- DVOM on 20 volt scale.

- While observing the DVOM, depress and release throttle several times to cycle the output.

- Does IMRC cycle 0.5 volt or greater?

Yes -- Remain in Output State test mode. Go to KT10. KT10 - Check IMRC Solenoid For Vacuum Leaks

No -- Exit Output State test mode. Go to KT1. KT1 - Check IMRC Solenoid Resistance
