KT10 - Check IMRC Solenoid For Vacuum Leaks

- Key "ON", engine "OFF".

- Intake Manifold Runner Control System (IMRC) solenoid disconnected.

- Disconnect manifold vacuum hose at IMRC solenoid.

- Slowly apply 54 kPa (16 in Hg) of vacuum to the manifold vacuum port of the IMRC solenoid.

- Does IMRC solenoid hold vacuum for 20 seconds?

Yes -- Remain in Output State test mode. Leave the vacuum pump setup in place. Go to KT11KT11 - Check IMRC Solenoid Mechanical Operation

No -- Remove vacuum pump setup and jumper from STI to Signal Return. Replace IMRC solenoid. Rerun quick test. Quick Test Appendix (Detailed Testing Instructions)
