E2 Check ABS Sensor Circuitry For Short to Ground

- Disconnect anti-lock brake control module connector.

- Install Rotunda 60-Pin Breakout Box 007-00033 and ABS Breakout Box Adapter 007-00115 or equivalents to anti-lock brake control module harness.

- Using Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-R0051 or equivalent set to K ohms, connect one lead to breakout box pin 5 as the reference, measure the resistance of suspect front brake anti-lock sensor or rear brake anti-lock sensor as indicated in the chart below.

- Is resistance less than 10K ohms?

YES -- Service suspect circuit for short to ground. Clear all DTCs. Restore vehicle. Retest system.

NO -- Leave equipment installed. Go to E3. E3 Measure ABS Sensor Resistance
