MC5 - Check For Spout Short In ICM - Spout Fault

- Key Off.

- DVOM on 40 volt AC scale.

- Push and hold EI diagnostic harness SPOUT button down (opens SPOUT circuit to ICM).

- Start engine and measure voltage between (+)J21 (EI diagnostic harness SPOUT detector) and (-)J7 (B-) at breakout box.

- Is AC voltage reading greater than 5.0 volts?

YES -- REPLACE ICM. SPOUT is shorted in ICM. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Rerun quick test. Diagnostic Subroutines (DSR) - Extracting Codes

NO -- GO to MC6. MC6 - Check For Spout Short High In Harness
