MC6 - Check For Spout Short High In Harness

- Key Off.

- Disconnect PCM.

NOTE: This erases continuous memory, and sets the P1000 code.

- Disconnect the ICM tee from the ICM, but leave the vehicle harness connected to module tee.

- DVOM on 40 volt DC scale.

- Key On, Engine Off.

- Measure voltage between J45 (SPOUT I) and J7 (B-) at the breakout box.

- Is DC voltage reading less than 0.5 volts?

YES -- GO to MC7. MC7 - Check For Spout Short to Ground In Harness

NO -- CHECK connectors, SERVICE or REPLACE harness. SPOUT is shorted high. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
