JA33 - Check For VPWR to ICM - KOEO

- Key Off.

- DVOM on 40 volt DC scale.

- Key On, Engine Off.

- When making a voltage check, a ground reading means any value within a range of zero to 1 volt. Also, VPWR readings mean any value that falls within a range of B+ to 2 volts less than B+.

- When making voltage checks and a reference to ground is made, use either the negative battery lead or cast iron on the engine. B+ means the positive battery cable at the battery.

- Measure voltage between (+)J35 (VPWR I) and (-)J7 (B-) at breakout box.

- Is DC voltage greater than 10.5 volts?

YES -- Go to JA34. JA34 - Check CKP+ Bias at ICM - KOEO

NO -- CHECK connectors, SERVICE or REPLACE harness. VPWR to ICM is open. REMOVE all test equipment. RECONNECT all components. Clear continuous memory. Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes
