SUSPENSION: REAR LOWER ARM: INSTALLATION

HINT
* Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
* The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
* A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Temporarily install the No. 2 suspension arm with the No. 2 suspension toe adjust plate, rear suspension attachment and nut to the suspension member.





(b) Install the stud of the suspension arm, and temporarily install a washer, nut and the bolt to the axle carrier.

2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Temporarily install the No. 1 suspension arm with the bolt and nut to the suspension member.





(b) Install the stud of the suspension arm, and temporarily install a new nut to the axle carrier.

3. TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Tighten the bolt and nut.

Torque : 72 Nm (734 kgf-cm, 53 ft-lbf) for bolt

Torque : 118 Nm (1203 kgf-cm, 87 ft-lbf) for nut

4. TEMPORARILY CONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Air Suspension) Installation

5. TEMPORARILY CONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Air Suspension) Installation

6. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH Installation

7. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

(a) Stabilize the suspension for coil suspension Installation.

(b) Stabilize the suspension for air suspension Installation.

8. TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Tighten the 2 nuts.

Torque : 150 Nm (1530 kgf-cm, 111 ft-lbf) for suspension member side

Torque : 225 Nm (2294 kgf-cm, 166 ft-lbf) for axle carrier side

9. CONNECT REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Air Suspension) Installation

10. CONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Air Suspension) Installation

11. INSTALL REAR SPEED SENSOR LH Installation

12. INSTALL LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET Installation

13. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR Installation

14. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 140 Nm (1428 kgf-cm, 104 ft-lbf)

15. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM (for Air suspension)

(a) Check the suspension control system Operation Check.

16. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

(a) Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment Rear Wheel Alignment.

17. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

(a) Check the speed sensor signal Test Mode Procedure.

18. ADJUST HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Adjust the headlight Adjustments.
